Frederick James UREN  was born c.1862, and is thought to be a son of photographer James Uren (q.v.). He died on 16 February 1908 at the age of 46. Alexander Uren (q.v.) may have been a relative. His directory entries as a photographer were:

1887-1888   Kapunda
     1889   Hutt Street, Adelaide
1890-1891   Clyde Street, Parkside
1892-1896   Douglas Street, Parkside
1897-1901   Taylor Street, Kadina

Frederick Uren was then listed as a publican at the Burra Hotel, Burra, for 1902-1903, and the Sir John Franklin Hotel at Kapunda for 1904-1906.
